Been a Hot Minute!

Friends! I hope you have been well. My temporary hiatus was significantly longer than intended, but I am working my way back to writing and posting more! I never stopped cooking and experimenting, but life got in the way of some of my more creative endeavours. I have missed writing and interacting with y’all, so I’m making a determined effort to post more. (Plus, we were fortunate enough to renovate recently so I have a much more fun kitchen to cook in. Got me a lot more motivated to try out new-to-me recipes.) I’m hoping to have some guest posts from my foodNURDling who just turned 11 but has been baking by my side for years. A few of the more delicious creations? A trés leches cake for my mother-in-law’s birthday, a gorgeous rainbow cake, my husband’s 50th birthday cake with dulce de leche and sugared pecans, a honey cake, an apple pie and a spectacular cupcake-frosting-giant-cookie-slice monster.

Oh, and I solemnly swear I will not write 12 paragraphs before getting to the actual recipe.
